Frequently Asked Questions

Holistic therapeutic care means that we are looking at the whole person and not just the symptoms. We want to learn what you like, how you got here, what skills you already access, and help guide you on your therapeutic journey. 


Think of it like a road trip; you are always in the driver's seat. We are your co-pilot, holding the map and asking questions about what routes we may want to take and pointing out any signs we keep seeing to note if we want to stop and take a deeper look. 


As a holistic practice, we are not opposed to medication, however, we look at is a stabilization support rather than a fix all. We believe in addressing symptoms at their root cause vs. putting a band aid on. 


We are trained in traditional evidenced based therapeutic modalities. However, we also know that treatment is not one size fits all. We will use a variety of traditional as well as out of the box techniques to find what works best for each individual patient. Through the holistic process, we are in a unique position to explore your past, present, and future in a way that is not always accessible in our current care system. 


Therapy at Mindful Holistics can benefit anyone who is struggling with a life transition, anxiety, trauma, neurodivergence, divorce, women's issues, gender identity struggles, and/or faith and spirituality struggles.


We work with patients with many different backgrounds and ages who are looking for a holistic, less/non-medicated, and person centered approach to therapy and treatment. 

If you are someone who has found therapy to be stuffy, stiff, or not for you in the past, this may be a great opportunity for you 


In your first therapy session, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and your goals for treatment. We will also talk about your medical history and any current symptoms you may be experiencing. We do have to talk about what brought you in. However, we are more focused on learning as much as we can about your strengths as well so we can work WITH you to make a plan for treatment that is tailored for you, specifically. 


The frequency of therapy sessions will depend on your individual needs and goals. Many clients attend therapy once a week, while others may attend less frequently. We will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan.

Payment is due at time of service. 


Acceptable forms include: credit card and  flexible/health savings account .


You are required to have a card on file in order to move forward with services.

To establish care, we require a 20-30 min phone consultation. This call costs $25. 


We then set up a patient portal in our HIPPA compliant EMR, Therapy Notes, for you to access the intake documents. 


For OUT OF NETWORK benefits, you will also be required to set up a profile int Thrizer and will pay your co-insurance (like a  copay) thought

Once we receive ALL OF THE COMPLETED intake documents, we review your paperwork, check you insurance benefits (if applicable), and match you with a clinician. If your clinician has any additional questions, they may reach out to you directly.

Once we have all the needed information and you are aware of your benefits/payment expectations, we will email you with the clinician's open availability and set up your first appointment.
